Friends are Family

Here is what I've been working on since I last posted. I finished it at the weekend and gave it to my friends. They loved it which is really nice :)

It is 'Friends are Family' by Haberdashery Designs. I left off the border as I didn't have time to stitch it, but I don't think it harms the design.

I chose the design as I really loved the verse, and I wanted something that wasn't going to overwhelm a room, or make my friends feel like they had to put it on a large expanse of wall. I felt that this long design, although it is 41 inches long, could easily be put above a doorway or something sort of out of the way.

Sorry for the slightly blurry photo - I was having trouble trying to get the camera to focus on the stitching rather than the large expanse of background. The framed piece is only 10cm high, so it was a thin strip for the poor camera to see. The design with border is only 2 inches.
