Coronation

Coronation is now finished. It is so sparkly, it is wonderful. I tried to get the sparkles to show in the photo, but as always, real life wins.

Coronation

I'm getting so close on this now. Just the background to fill in with the 4-way filler stitch. I've done the first small section, but there's still a reasonable amount to go. But once it's done - so is the ornament.

I'm also going to have to clean up the back a bit - I tried very hard to be good and not carry threads across the back of open canvas - but I got a bit sloppy in places and here and there I can see a silver or gold peeping through where it isn't supposed to.

I am hoping to get this finished by the 15th when I have class through the SNS called Desert Diamonds starting up and I really want to keep up with the class. Really looking forward to it too.

This one is looking good - another page done - I love these quick pages (lol):

Coronation

I've done a couple more pages on this now. I'm putting up a couple of photos as the first one the colour is more accurate, but the second shows the progress I've made (a whole four more stitches - but that was one page of the pattern).

Here's a bit more work on this:

Coronation

And Coronation. Last weekend I went on a stitchy weekend, and apart from a gift (that I actually started at the GTG last year, but hardly worked on inbetween) I mostly stitched on this. It was a really enjoyable stitch, and so far I've found it really easy and effective. Hopefully I'll get this back on the stand and finished soon.

Coronation

Last night I stitched again on Coronation. It's coming along well, I've just got to figure out the right length of thread for the Sprat's Heads - I got it almost right, I did manage to get all the way to the other side, just not quite enough to complete that stitch. Only thing was I forgot to measure how much I'd used so it'll still be a guessing game for the next side.

Coronation

Finally - I have got going on the first of the Jim Wurth Dodecagon Ornaments. So here is the start of Coronation.
