I pulled this out and stitched a little bit on it the other day.

And the final one I stitched on - I've restarted this now on the 18ct Aida and it's definitely nicer to stitch than the 22ct Hardanger, so I think I did the right thing cos at least this will get finished. I doubt the Hardanger version ever would have.

Here is where I got up to on this before I decided I couldn't cope with stitching a 17" square design on 22ct Hardanger and constantly having to watch which direction I was stitching my crosses so that they didn't slip under the weave. I then ordered some 18ct aida - there isn't much choice in black - and that finally arrived so I'll start again soon. It will be bigger and I think it would have looked great on the 22ct, but it was driving me mad rather than being a nice relaxing stitch.

I've started my first fractal. Only I didn't get far as every colour I picked to start with I didn't have. So I've now ordered £15 worth of floss so that I've got all the colours, and managed to find one colour in which I could do four stitches.
